Genious!

I was wondering why the power lead i recently uncovered has one of the
cables tied in a knot.
Its a 12V power cable with an adapter for running a radio transceiver from
the ciggie lighter socket in a car.

While trying to figure out why I would have done that it dawned on me that
bare ends of the leads could short together and so by shotening one lead,
the problem can be avoided!

I havent used any radio equipment in a car now for about 18 years, but at
least I was thinking about electrical safety. :-)
