That's me lately! Go to bed, fall asleep then round about 2 or 3 am I'm
ready for action for a few hours. It's become a habit, one I really must
get out of somehow.

snip
How do other people cope? And has anyone beaten this stupid hour of waking
up or is it just something I'll have to get used to and put up with?

I thought "regular as clockw*rk" might be referring to something else:)))))

Glad you're feeling a bit better Pam.

Your problem is something I have too. I wake up about 2-3am and then can't
sleep again. I've given up getting out of bed though, and lie here listening
to the radio.

I have two little suggestions that might help. Lavender on the pillow, and a
bit of deep breathing sometimes works for me.

Getting up, doing things, and going back to bed has never been an option as
far as I'm concerned. Like Pingu I have been addicted to sleeping tablets
and prescribed painkillers in the past, but I'm free of all that now.

I'll be interested in other replies, as long as they don't involved banging
my head against the wall and knocking myself out:((((((
