Bloomin' Toof

Had to go back to the dentist today, socket very sore where tooth was extracted 10 days ago. He confirmed it was a "dry socket" and injected some antiseptic, packed it and put me on antibiotics. I always seem to have these problems with extractions :-(

I got charged close to £20 again so nearly £40 for an extraction so far, plus the antibiotic prescription.

I actually wonder whether to go for private dental treatment, does anybody here do that? The local dentist doesn't do Denplan but there is one about 20 minutes away who does. It strikes me it's not likely to cost much more, I will get appointments more quickly, the dentist will actually speak to me rather than grunting and the dental nurses for the private dentists are definitely the attractive ones :-)

I have another tooth starting to twinge but cannot get an appointment before mid September so that's likely to be another emergency extraction long before then.
