So I wonder why the independent experts are saying the devices could
have caused mayhem on a similar scale to those killing and maiming
scores of people in Baghdad.
What independant experts?
Anyone in a position to be considered an expert in security is not
independant. They may be independant of government, but not of the
industry.
Secondly, had the cars ignited there would indeed have been mayhem, there
may even have been scores of people injured - but unless Picadilly is
somewhat different to northern city centres on Friday/Saturday nights,
there would be anyway.
