I'm aware that Vista is new and 40tude Dialog 2.0.15.1 is Beta, but just
wondered if anyone else was running this combination successfully?
I've never had a problem with Dialog and Vista, but I do know of someone
(who posts here) who had a similar problem. I never bother to install
Dialog, but simply copy it all over to my new hard drive. It is totally
self contained in Program Files, with all the settings contained in its own
folder, and nothing in the registry.
I even run the same Dialog from within XP and Vista.
Many thanks for that response, Mike, I wasn't aware that it was a self
contained program without registry entries. Jeff's suggestion of not using
Drive C: was heeded and I've copied the nest of folders over to another
partition.
This setup has now survived three re-starts and still appears to be working
OK. This post is the very first one from this laptop using 40tude Dialog.
When I posted I'd already accepted that it was a lost cause and just
wondered if anyone else was in the same boat. Not for one minute did I
consider that I'd be in receipt of a solution so soon.
Thanks again Mike, I'm very grateful, what a valuable source of information
this group is.
