Come in John the R-T :-)

You called?

This touch typist does :-) The Royal Navy taught me to touch type in
the mid 1950s when I trained as a telegraphist. 'B' was struck by the
*right* index finger.

That's how I learned to touch type starting in March 1948 at HMS
Ganges. Pitmans typing course.

All together now

Still can't get used to the numbers pad.

I was a touch typist about the same time as you John with the Civil
Service and had to have regular typing tests
to get higher grades, used the old Royal or Imperial typewriters - I
used to love typing then. I very rarely use the numbers
pad.
