That's the VIA Ethernet NIC (Network Interface card) Adaptor.
Do you use that Ethernet Connection for your Internet Connection?
I downloaded that and I couldn't get an internet connection after
that.

I rolled back to the one that came with the motherboard and
it wxrked fine again. It was wxrking ok so why did I bother fixing
it..?

But then I know many people do end up Downloading & Installing loads
of Updates, just cos that's what's Automatically offered.
What, specifically, does the Update do?
Is it something to do with *Security*?
& if so, what, exactly?
Can you Post the Update Number &/or a Link to the M$ Article about it?
Some Updates really are actually useful or needed, but not all are.
