I inadvertently clicked the *yes* button and set Firefox as
my default. I can't find a way to reset IE- as my default,
anyone help ? :(

Control Panel
Default Programs

or

Control Panel
Internet Options
Programs Tab

Thanks Steve. I obviously haven't got the patience to logically
search and find that in Internet Options.

LOL!
Like Steve, Ali & the others have said, to Set Internet Explorer as
the Default Web Browser, you use the *Internet Explorer* (or windoze)
Settings & not anything in Firefox.

I (like some others) wondered why you Posted this query up with
Firefox in the Subject Header!

I don't appear to default Programs in my Control Panel. Is that
Vista? I have XP Home Edition..

Have a look in Add & remove Programs.
On the Left, there should be several different Buttons, one of which
is Labelled: "Set Program Access & Defaults"

That will let you Set up various different things, such as the Web
Browser, eMail/News Client, Media Player Instant messaging & Java
Virtual Machine etc.

You can also get to that thingy by using...

Start>All Programs>Set Program Access & Defaults

The Settings in that aren't very clear or obvious though.
(They were only included by micro$oft in response to the EU Ruling
about the way M$ were abusing their Monopoly position, by including
things like a Web Browser, eMail Client, Media Player etc, in with
the Operating System)

So, if it's just the Web Browser (Internet Explorer) that you want
to Set as the Default Browser, it's prolly quicker & easier to just do
by using:

Internet Options>Programs
[/] Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the Default
Browser

That Options doesn't immediately stand out as being the one to do what
you want! - But if that's ticked & IE *isn't* the default Web Browser,
then when you Open it up, it will Prompt you & you get choice as to
whether or not you want to then actually *Set* it as the Default
Browser.
