this Mosque? That it was somehow part of the public expenditure for the
Games? From what I can see the only public involvement is a planning
application. Sorry, but I have a real 'thing' about tabloid selective
reporting and half truths.

Well we still live in a democracy (just) so have your say, vote for it to go
ahead and send it on to any muslim friends you have. Personally I've no axe
to grind, haven't voted at all myself and couldn't care less if they throw
in a sun worshippers' temple, to be honest. Sport has never been of much
interest to me and I shan't be going down to see it either way. If I had to
express a personal opinion, I'd say religious edifices have no place in an
Olympic stadium, here or abroad, of ANY religion.
P.S. I've seen/heard no references, veiled or otherwise, to its being
funded by public monies.
