Well, ther's always *loads* of things that you will continually be
learning about &* findin gout about!

Yes and it keeps the old grey cells active :-)

... Yes I knew you could set the size but I presumed that would
only prompt you when it was full.

Why jsut "presume"?

Why not try it & see what *actually* happens?

That's prolly the best way of finding out!!!

It's like spring cleaning, I just clear it now and again without too much
thought :-)

... Thanks, it's something I feel I *should* have known but I've
just learned.

Well, you *would* have known, if you had tried it!!!

BTW - I think you'll find that the idea of it letting you "Empty"
the Recycle Bin is so that you can decide for yourself which stuff
gets chucked out & which stuff you want to keep, rather than it just
chucking out the earliest stuff.

Don't forget, you can look in the recycle Bin & choose to Delete
(Empty) certain Items from it! - You don't have to empty it completely.

You could (for example) Set the View to "Details" & then Sort it by
Date (or maybe File Size) & Empty out just the stuff you know (or hope!)
that you won't need to get back.

That way, when you Delete something big (which would mean that
something else would have to be Emptied from it), you have already decided
which stuff gets Deleted, rather than letting *it* decide
for you.

Well I always look in the recycle bin before I empty it, belt and braces me
:-) It's not the first time I've found something which I have changed my
mind about deleting.

You really do have to remember (which a lot of people seem to forget!)
that the PC is *supposed* to do what *you* want (& need), rather than
just letting it do whatever it wants.

It's supposed to work *for* you, not against you.

That's easy for you to say, for most of us humans the pooter does wot it
likes and we live with it :-)

& finding out what it does & how it does things & how to make it do
things will help you get the best & most efficient use out of it.

Efficient ? Like the paperless office ? I've got more scraps of paper
sitting on this desk than I had before I had a pooter :-)

People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did, but
People will never forget how you made them feel.
