The Answer (or at least *partial* Answer) is to not ever Set
anything to "Remember PassWords"...

But even then, the eMail Protocols such as POP3 & HTTP, used
for most eMail Accounts are inherently insecure - the UserName
& PassWord Details are sent over the Internet "in the clear" they
aren't Encrypted, so anybody with a Packet Sniffer can read them.

Also, a lot of PassWords are easily guessed.

You need to use PassWords that aren't easily guessed & you
*also* need to keep changing the PassWords on a frequent basis.

& also, not to use the same UserName & PassWord for different things.

Also to remember to sign out/log off the web page after reading
and answering emails when using a public pc

Yep!
& even when just *Checking* for Mails! - Not just only when actually
*Reading* (or Answering) them!

... - I know a lot of people that forget to do that.

Yep.

Always Log out/Sign off any Web Page or Web Site that you have
Logged into (& Clear the Cookies & Temporary Internet Files Cache)
rather than just Closing the Web Browser down, but *do* remember
to *also* close the Browser down as well, (*all* the Browser windows,
not just the one(s) you were using) & not *just* Log out of the Web
Page, cos some Cookies (Session Cookies) stay in the Browser for as
long as the Browser is Running.

The other sort of Cookies stay until the Date they are Set to Expire -
(often that's not until 2038!) or until they are specifically Cleared
out.
