Did a check earlier this afternoon. All geese there, no goslings,
still lots of eggs in the nests, but two eggs a couple of metres

I guess not. I searched around the website you mentioned
awhile back*, but found nothing about Geese purposely making
holes in their infertile eggs.

After all, how would they know they were infertile?
Perhaps some kids made the holes?
