Barn Dance Report

Thought you might like to hear about last night's barn dance (Barb's
retirement from Guiding). Well a good time was had by all, good music,
dancing and plenty of food.
I danced every dance - Noreen danced nearly all of them .
Met lots of old (in both senses of the word) friends, had a good natter
and was given lots of pressies for my retirement and also for my
birthday (just a bit early)
I had a fluffy toy dog, a Happy Birthday rose tree, Travel Scrabble, and
a cup which said
Seen it all
Done it all
Can't remember most of it
There was also a balloon saying Happy retirement and a big
birthday/retirement cake decorated with a blue trefoil (the guide
symbol)
I had let it be known that I prefer my flowers growing in the garden
rather than in a bouquet but they gave me a floral decoration
Picture here (minus the cake)

I was then presented with my 20 year service bar
A silver friendship brooch from the District
and a Thank You badge from Gloucester Division
The photo isn't as clear as it might have been but it is here

Thank You Badge (bottom) That is the Cathedral pictured on it and the
words Gloucester Division underneath

Sorry for the length of post!! :-))
