They are Award BIOSes, but yes, they are customised for the QDI
Motherboards - that's the way all Motherboard Manufacturers do it.
They buy (License) the BIOS Software itself from Award (or Phoenix
or AMI or whoever) & then Customise it for their own particular
Motherboards.

Yes I also found that QDI site very slow.

Yes, many far eastern Sites do use various Chinese Fonts & Character
Sets on some of their Pages, so if you have your System Set to Prompt
for things like Font Downloads, then you may well get some Prompts.
I normally say no to those sort of Prompts, then look at the Page to see
if I can read it OK.

OK...

That Site *is* very slow.

I just tried it (& I tried it this morning as well) & the Page itself
took a long time to come up.
& then when I tried Downloading the BIOS .ZIP File - the one on the Link
which says "A10B_46slcp.zip", which leads to:
http://www.qdigrp.com/qdisite/driver/A10B_V46%20%20slcp.zip

It took 2 Min 48 Sec to Download! - the File is 245 KB (251,614 Bytes)
Which works out at an Average Download (Data Transfer) Speed of only
about 1.46 KB/Sec!
:-(

In that .ZIP File, is a README.TXT File (with Instructions on how
to use it, which incidentally show that yes, it does include an
Option to Backup the existing BIOS) & the AWDFLASH.EXE Utility
& the BIOS File itself (A10BV46.BIN)

Well the AWDFLASH.EXE Utility comes included in that .ZIP File anyway.

See above.

Try it again?
You can either just (Left)Click the Link to the .ZIP File & then choose
"Save File As.." (cos the Operating System will cause a File Download
Prompt Box to come up, cos it's a .ZIP File), or RightClick the Link
& choose "Save Target As...", which will also give you File Download
Dialog Box

But anyway, what happened when you tried the BIOS Option to ReSet
the ESCD (Extended System Configuration Data)?
You may not need the BIOS Update, to sort out your prob, but if you do,
then just try the Download again.
