Wel, I reckon it's a bit difficult to suss it all out, cos you are
now saying that your opinion was based on something that you heard
that was (at least) 3rd Hand!

You are talking about what Barb said (to you) that Noreen said (to her),
that PlusNet Support said to Noreen's Daughter/Son?

Well, yes, but I still say that it's a bit unfair for people to scream
& shout & make a big hoo hah & jump to all sorts of conclusions about,
when they weren't actually present at the conversation?

>From what has now transpired, it seems that the price of about
90 Pounds that was mentioned (by PlusNet?) was their Price for
a Modem Router? & not for just a Modem?

OK, yes, there has obviously been an element of not quite perfectly
crystal clear advice being given by someone somewhere, but it's very
difficult for a Support Representative (who's job is to offer Support
for Technical Issues, with their Service), to then try to take on the
job of a Salesman!!!

Especially, when the person/people involved (as Noreen & her
Son/Daughter are) don't know about & aren't aware of all the various
different ways of Connecting to the Net.
