No way, pmj :-)
I always use FDISK to create partitions (I sometimes use Linux to
remove them though) and I have never come across that. From memory
option 1 is to create a Primary Partition, 2 is to set a disk active, 3
sets up an extended partition, 4 shows details and 5 swaps disks.
I always use '3' and set the partition for the whole disk space, after
that FDISK offers to set up logical drives. Are you sure you weren't
trying to set up several extended partitions?
This is W98 SE, I have never used ME.
