Yes, it would be - that's the way that the "Map Network Drive"
thingy works!!!
Whatever *Folder* you "Map" (whether it's a Sub-Folder of a Drive
or the *Root* Folder of a Drive) appears as a Drive Letter.
But you don't *have* to map each "Share" as a (Mapped Network)
Drive Letter.
You can have it just showing up as a "Share", if you want - but then
you don't use the "Map Network Drive" thingy for that.
You use the *other* features & facilities that windoze offers,
to do that.
