But if he *was* actually in California, then *his* Clock would be
showing 8 Hours behind us, wouldn't it?
& the Offset (as shown in the "Date: " Header) would then make the
time of his Posts (as shown here) Show up Correct!

I know many people would say something like "what does it all matter
anyway?" - But all that sort of thing has been thought about by the
people who designed the Specifications for Messages & stuff, so as to
enable Times from different places around the world to be absolutely
& unambiguously specified, so there need be no Confuzzlement over
the actual Time a Message was Sent (where ever it was sent from) -
but that does all rely on people Setting the right Options in their PCs.
& it's only when people know *why* those sort of things do actually
matter that they will then make sure that the Options are all Set right.
