Assuming you have the Freeview box connected to the VCR through a SCART
socket then the VCR connected to the TV via SCART or a co-axial cable
(like an aerial) then:
To record turn the TV on, turn the Freeview box on, tune to the correct
channel and press record on the VCR. Ensure correct program shows on
TV, turn TV off.
To play back turn TV on and press play on VCR (after re-winding tape).
If you use a SCART connection to the TV you need to switch to the
correct input (on mine pressing 0 cycles between the various inputs but
others may be different). If the VCR is connected by co-ax then you can
usually pick it up on channel 36. In any event you just do what you
would normally do to watch a tape, the fact it was recorded from
Freeview doesn't affect the playback.
