nope..is it sort of all in one? Would you also need an aerial?

It looks not, but reception will depend on where you are I guess :)

In the kitchen :-) LOL

Yes, it does need an Aerial (of some kind. All TVs need an Aerial. Maybe a wire "Coat Hanger" type, or "Ribbon" type might do (or the one that comes with it)? But whether or not you would need an *External* - Room, Loft or Roof mounted - Aerial would depend on the Signal Strength in the area (both of the Country & the House! - where it is used though)
... I don't actually want one, but it looks like the sort of thing
that may suit a friend. I assume you have to have a tv card thingy
in the pc too.

I may be wrong, but looking at that Page, surely it *is* a TV Tuner Card (but in a USB "Dongle" type thing)?

oh..ok, I misunderstood that bit then

BTW - Boo... If you have a (small Screen?) Portable TV in the Kitchen (near the PC?) so as to be able to watch/listen to the Telly, how come you don't just use the (built-in) TV Tuner Card that your PC has? Why have a *Separate* Telly?

I'm intrigued/puzzled.

The tv isn't there exclusively for me, its for watching tv whilst in the kitchen. The pc is for my exclusive use and I don't want to watch telly in a window in the corner of it.
