Can you elaborate on *what* exactly you Fiddled with?
What Settings (in which bit of the Connection) did you change?
>From what & to what?

& was it the Settings on the *PC* (either Laptop or Desktop) that
you Fiddled with?
Or some Settings in the Router?

When we (you!) know that, we can all come up with some sensible
suggestions, as to how to put it right.

Oh dear!
:-(

Now that does present us (you as well) with some *very* "interesting"
stuff to sort out, doesn't it?
:-)

Good!!!
It's a very bad idea to Run a WiFi Connection *without* Encrypting it!
Unless you are fully aware of (& able to cope with) the consequences of
other people Accessing your WiFi Network (& thus the Internet)

Remember, that if the WiFi Connection is not Encrypted, (& also if
you don't have a good PassWord on the Router Admin Page) - which
unfortunately is the case with the default Settings of all WiFi Routers)
then anybody within range can Connect up to it & *not only* (Ab)use
your Internet Connection, but *also* lock you out of your own Router
& Network (& internet Connection)!!!

So please don't be tempted to DisAble the Encryption that you previously
Set up on it.

Well, are you *sure* that it is the Encryption, that is Stopping you
from Accessing it?
Did you *change* the Encryption Settings?

How about using a different PC to Access the Router Admin Page?
What about using your other Laptop?

Alternatively, (one of) the usual ways around the prob that you have
is to just use an ordinary (Ethernet) *Cable* Connection, to Connect
to the Router, (from any PC) so as to sort things out (the Encryption
only applies to the *WiFi* Connection & not an ordinary Ethernet Cable
Connection to the Router)

& another way (a sort of "last ditch - Get Out of Jail" type Card)
is to just ReSet the Router, back to it's Factory Defaults.

That will work *if* the prob is actually that you adjusted some Setting
on the *Router* when you Fiddled - but not (necessarily) if the prob
is something on your PC.

It will also mean that you will have to ReEnter all the Settings
into the Router (such as your ISP's UserName & PassWord) & changing
the Router Admin Page PassWord from the Default) & all the various
other Settings which you should make sure are Set right, such as Turning
*Off* the Broadcasting of the SSID & changing the SSID & Turning *On*
the Encryption, so as to make your Router as Secure as possible from
external Intrusions.
