It's not the key - I've still got two of those, it's the one remaining
remote I have to be careful not to lose.

Well they do share, and I suppose if any one asks about it, I can
truthfully say I've dealt with it, without being too specific, I suppose.
Best thing would be to change cars, then I would think I'd be in the
clear. :)
