Right, there's virtually no extra compression in the zip file.
You should be able to see the percentage compression (and /or before and
after sizes) by just opning the file in JustZipIt - you can in WinZip.

So the jpegs were reduced in size *before* zipping them; probably by the
methods shewn unto you by Honourable Lady Boo.

Remember, a modern digital camera collect *far* too much detail for most
purposes, you need to loose the detail that can't be seen (which is generally
what the jpeg format does, depending on setings.
