I've been in system/hardware and looked at the NIC adapter, but it
doesn't have any tabs for DNS?



Try right clicking the connection icon in your systray..choose status, click the support tab and then click details. Should show you what the connection has for DNS. ..from what I have been reading here, it should be the IP addy of your router, then , in turn, the router will have it's own settings
