XP that I do know. Service pack ? Possibly and I'm sure she has no idea.

Yes and reinstalling Windows is her nephew's (who knows everything)
favourite way of curing anything :-)

She should be, in my book anybody who can actually speak Russian ( and isn't
Russian) should be able to faff around but like my friend with the *son who
knows everything* having a nephew * who knows everything* makes it hard to
get them to try anything apart from the dead simple, click here :-( I'll try
and see her pooter at the weekend and come back here with a bit more info
Thanks for the suggestions particularly since I know I haven't given anybody
anything to go on yet.
