I thought the bells and whistles were the same on both the £799 and the £699
one, just the basics were different like memory, HD etc.

I don't need that at all. I don't think I'll be carrying it about to find
hotspots :-)

Doubt I'd use them, too much faffing about for a start to get it connected
to my TV cable, I don't have your standard TV cable and what's there is
already running with a splitter, but I might change my mind if it's there.

OK I've lived this long without a SIM reader so I can manage that :-)

Just Google Earth which I presume will still jbex Ok or even better. Unless
it's on the list of graphics cards which don't jbex I'll need to check that
out.This graphics card is NVidia GeForce2 MX/MX 400. Can I presume the
Medion one is way better ?

Isn't that a bad idea ? Or is my rememberer wrong ? I know the laptop has a
shared graphics card and I actually lose some *real* memory because of that.
Or is that a completely different thing?

You're right I don't want a monitor, I don't even want a keyboard and mouse,
this one is only 7 months old and I'm used to it.

I can't mix SD ram can I ? Well OK I can mix it but it will only run at the
the lowest value, is that right?

SD like I have on here.

I have 768mb SDR on here, so am I actually gaining much memory ?

I always thought these Medions were specific to ALDI.

Is my ticket to the bike sheds still valid for hand holding while I do that.
Or are you thinking of leaving the country ???:-)

Well I was quite chuffed that this one was six months old before it became
out of date, my first one was out of date before it was delivered :-( I'm
kind of losing faith in this one and what I want is a replacement which is
obviously more suited to BB, i.e. it jbexes faster to take advantage of
things like Google Earth. I can't see me now taking up fancy PC games, I
can't even handle fancy console games now which require about twenty fingers
to use the controls. Come back the Speccy, Mega Drive and SNES :-)

Yep a bit like having kids, if you wait till you can afford them you'd never
have them :-)

Thanks for that.If the hand holding is available to get it set up as I want
I'll be in the queue next Thursday. Just remember my ALDI front door is
about 20 feet from the sea wall and wish me better weather than today :-)
