Sorry, just had a cynical moment. Time to abolish most coursework and go
back to exams at the end of the course...
Isn't the problem with GCSEs apart from the burden of coursework also
that you have to be seen to be clever to be put in for all of the
parts of it else you're doomed to only be able to get a c even if you
get 100% in the bits they let you sit?
When I did O levels I think we were told 70% was needed for an A.
Why don't % get issued instead? That'd mean the clever clogs who get
100% would be differentiated from the people who get 71% but still get
a A.
I spose some of that a++ nonsense is for that.
