Well at the risk of being accused of selling .
However the breakdown service is operated by Firstcall or greenflag
(as was) So its essentially the same as AA or RAC for your car .
In the event of a breakdown - you simply call our
FREEPHONE number - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
First Call GB Ltd will organise a recovery truck that will
take you and your product home - normally in under
an hour.
Summary of Cover
• This exclusive recovery service provides assistance following
electrical
or mechanical breakdown of your vehicle. Immobilisation of your
vehicle
as a result of an accident, tyre puncture, flat battery, vandalism or
attempted theft.
• Gets you and your vehicle back to your home address up to a maximum
of 10 miles.
• Gets you and your vehicle back to your temporary address (or holiday
home) up to a maximum of 10 miles as long as the address is in the UK.
• A maximum of 4 call outs per year.
• For all Class 2 and 3 electric pavement vehicles and electric
wheelchairs
• Service available 24 hours a day - seven days a week.
What would happen if for example I went to an airshow 80 miles away, and had
an electrical/motor faliure and couldnt get back to my van or into it?
And would it involve me getting out of my chair?
If it can help me I will sign up!
Firstly on powerchairs its valid only if you can transfer yourself
from the chair into the recovery vehicle. Its health and safety plus
liability factor,.
If its a scooter and 80 miles away . they will come to the airshow and
move you to your car .
if that makes sense.
It does but if I could transfer to a car I would not need rescue because I would ring a friend!
