MW has a restore deleted emails option. When this is selected I think MW
d/l's all deleted emails and stores them for a few days in its own recycle
bin, which it purges on a rolling basis. When you opt to restore an email
it comes from your own m/c out of MW's recycle bin, at least that's my
reading of the headers of a couple I restored. As received, none of the
restored emails had a 127.0.01 IP address, although my router's IP addie
and the actual restoration process is quite clearly identifiable.

I have mailwasher pro 5.3 and it allows me to see headers of mails.
When Mark Horton mailed me I copied the mail from the panel on
mailwasher instead of downloading it. I am pretty sure he mailed me by
mistake as the exactly same mail appeared as a post somewhere.

A climbdown? I will accept this as an apology, as it's the nearest thing I will get.

Just to make things very clear Mr Turtill, I did not mail you, but if I did, it would have appeared in my sent box, and also if legally required
(such as in theoretical case of harassment of you by me). My ISP can prove this. Not that I think it will progress any further, as you are not claiming harrassment.

If I had mailed you by mistake. I would have apologised, even though there has been animosity between us.

The most likely scenario, is that my post appeared as part of a digest from Google Groups, and that you may have misunderstood it as an email from me.

I think we should both put this behind us as an easy mistake made on your part, and we can move on from there.

I did
download it eventually but I cannot remember where I saved if from, my
hotmail account or my mailwasher screen but I definitely got mail from
that IP machine so maybe that machine is infected.

My machine is not infected by viruses, trojans, or any other malware, I use Norton Internet Security 2006 (it is updated every year, and has automatic anti virus downloads virtually daily). The software suite includes Norton Antivirus 2006, and my machine is scanned daily.

I trust that we can understand each other better now, and stop this nonsense.

Mark
