That's a very nice thing to say about your wife, and echoes what my
husband says to me, as I am in your wife's position.

It is hard to watch someone you love suffer and struggle to maintain
independence, and from my point of view, I tend to become over
protective. I have to learn to let go and stand back sometimes, but it
is hard.

My husband has no sight now, plus physical limitations as well, so I
have to do quite a lot for him. He's an ex-biker as well, and getting
back on a bike - even as a passenger, is his dream, but I haven't been
able to find anyone willing to take him out.

Thankfully, his sense of humour (warped) is still intact:))
