Before you rush to throw the stuff away Chris, it may be fine in
moderation - I wasn't suggesting that you not use it, just that you be
careful not to overuse it!
My problem was directly linked to the Oramorph, although no-one can be
100%
certain.
The consensus of opinion among of the consultants and registrar's at the
time was that Oramorph has a habit of 'clogging people up'.
I was recovering from an operation to remove two discs and fuse my spine,
so
my use may have been heavy - as it turned out I never got to take my neck
collar off!
If you are aware of the possible outcomes and don't overdo it, it should
be
okay to use it when necessary to take the edge off.
I found that I needed it more and more as I seemed to build up a tolerance
to it - just be aware of the problems is all I was saying.
I am not medically qualified and my case history is just one episode,
there
may be others that have used it with no problem at all.
Good luck

Swmbo wouldn't let me throw it away, she came down on me like a ton of
bricks ouch.
As it turned out I did have to use it because of the mst withdrawal
burning limbs..really burning, flu symptoms,sneezing,yawning,muscle
spasms the lot.still getting them after my last dose Monday night.
Now the Fentanyl I do have hope for it,the consultant did tell me that
he has probably under dosed I think he may have but I do get the
*physical feelings that it is part working and part not so I guess it
will mean a little playing around to get it right.
Hell Dave my problems are minor compared to your experience's,I did
have my spine fused but that was unsuccessful, and later the implant.
You have made me aware Dave,I have looked at several sites and there
have been two or three similar but not as far reaching as yours.
I will of course be careful with the oramorph and will only take the
smallest amount that does the job.
I hope your current situation is stable and pain free.
Thank's for taking the time Dave I appreciate it.
Good Luck

Never test the depth of the water with both feet

I don't think that I will ever know 'pain free' Chris.
Damaged nerves and spinal cord are the main culprits.
Fentanyl takes the edge off just enough to let me get by, but I do have to
up the dose every so often to keep up with the game, as the body seems to
get used to a current dose.
Originally, it was a designer drug then prescribed for terminal cancer
patients - it's the only successful pain relief that I have found which
works for me.
I usually ask to try anything new, just in case, but this one is the best
yet for me.
Cheers
Dave
