The top rated seller qualification has updated. I now have :
Item as described 0.18%(6)
Communication 0.12%(4)
Dispatch time 0.40%(13)
P&P charges 0.12%(4)
Dispatch time is the obvious danger despite sending the vast majority
of
items same day.
Any suggestions on how to improve things ?
How many of those are from non paying bidders and other assorted scum,
and how many are genuine failures on your part (or that of the post
office)?
Good point, I might keep an eye on any + feedback left by UPI'ers and as
eBay to check out the DSR's left.
I haven't had a neg from a non-payer for a long time.
Can power sellers have positive feedback from non payers removed?
Only if the non payer does not respond to the UPI or gets NARU - same as
anyone else.
Power sellers can also have negs removed if they ask.
I had someone who wasnt a power seller remove a neg. Some form was
filled in from the help pages, I've yet to find it tho!

Are you sure they weren't just hiding the powerseller badge of shame?
Non-powersellers can only have the comment removed, not the rating.
Nope, they later turned into a PS, but at the time they were a seller
with less than 20 feedbacks, and most of what they had sold were
CD's.. nothing high volume or for massive prices.
Were they powerseller at the time it was removed? I don't know if it
works retroactively or not.
Ebay will not answer
me when I ask them about it. It was my comment, so I thought it right
I should have at least been asked to change it or something!

What did it say, and how long ago was it? They used to remove them if
there was any swearing, including in the reply by seller, but that
stopped when the selling fee discount thing came in.
"Item arrived damaged, returned to seller who claimed I did it!" Is
all it said. Nothing false, true, I keep a record of all I have sent
just in case I have to prove something (I have had to in the past).
Left it in mid June on the main account. No trace of it there now at
all. Was a headlight I bought for my car, not packed well, etc.
I've never managed to get them to remove any negs, only one neutral,
and that's only because someone swore in it, but it still remains,
just doesnt say anything at all now.

...
Didn't you post about this before ?
Didn't the seller claimed that you damaged the item on purpose ?
This was either in a feedback comment or in a reply to a feedback comment
published on the eBay website.
Is this correct ?
If so, as I pointed out to you at the time this meant that the seller libelled you.
As he had no way of proving such a claim.
Do you understand what that means ?
It means if that eBay allowed his comment to stand then you could successfully
sue eBay for publishing a claim on their website, by a third party that you are
a thief.
And so they cancelled the whole of the exchange for both parties.
As without his original claim being included that you are a thief,
your back claiming that he called you a thief - your comment above
which was also pulled - would no longer substantiated by his feedback
comments.

I did post, and yes I do remember your reply.
Ebay deny that they removed it for any other reason than the seller
asked them to by filling in a form. However, they do not answer any
emails relating to it, and when I call them they were quite good at
deflecting the questions.
I've seen other similar comments on peoples feedback over the years (I
cant find one right now tho!), which to me looked similar to this
experience.
They could just as well removed the comment, and left the neg there,
but all trace of it ever being ceased to exist. However, I could still
see the auction up until it expired from their systems a short while
ago. I still have all the emails, and I did forward them onto ebay,
which suprise, suprise, did nothing. Its just one of those pita things
ebay do I guess, where they dont give people their own views, and act
as a normal person.
I've had taunting emails from the seller several times since this all
happened, and they have bid and won several of my items, but each time
they've admitted who they are (indirectly) and the transactions have
fallen through. I just plod on, but it just brings a bit of a bitter
taste now and again.
