hi all
I just won an auction for a really expensive keyboard here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320240643253
The seller is based in Belgium. He sent me a Paypal invoice which I paid
yet he said he hadn't received it. I checked on Paypal and the
transaction showed as "unclaimed" - it seemed his email address wasn't
recognised on Paypal at all. He's now sent me a different invoice
directly to my email address and on this one, it has a different email
address for him. Checking on Paypal, the address is recognised and it all
looks legit but I'm feeling a little cautious as this really is rather a
large sum of money I'm paying out for this item! Should I ask him to get
his email address corrected on Ebay and then send me another invoice so
that it's all being done under the Ebay umbrella...?
Hope that makes sense and someone can help...
Seems fine to me. The seller probably just had/has different email addresses
for Paypal and Ebay & is used to sending Paypal invoices to be paid rather
than have bidders pay so quickly before he has a chance to send the invoice
out.
You can specifiy a different email address for Paypal payments to go to when
listing but maybe he does not realise this.
