I wont take any thing but cash on pickups
Then you won't be able to sell anything that needs picking up.
You can just direct the customer to phone about collection, if they
dont
agree to it then there is not much ebay can do about it, all my
listings
will be BIN+Delivery without letting cutomers change the invoices,
if
they
want to collect they will be forced to pay the delivery or phone
and
ill
i
tell them only cash. They cant report a verbal conversation AFAIK
But if they paid with Paypal and then you refunded it, that would
be
proof that you denied a payment. I doubt they would look any closer
than that.
How can they pay with paypal and collect if its not offered on the
listing
?????????????
do you not understand what I have said above, read it again and tell
me
what you fail to undertstand in the situation
Seems pretty straight forward to me, what you are saying. Perhaps they
haven't read your post properly.
BIN only, so no bidding buy it or don't. Delivery as standard, you
don't
get
the opportunity to collect, everything is delivered and signed for.
If someone wants to call you up, pay cash and collect it, then they
can,
but
that's a straight deal between you and the buyer.
What it means is there will be very few collections apart from the
astute
buyers who say, listen mate, I want to collect as I'm local, alright
if
I
come round and just pay cash, no questions asked. Which is no
different
to
answering an advert in your local paper. ,
But they could still use Paypal, and then you would have to either
accept it or risk being suspended. Fee avoidance is a sure fire way to
lose your account, there's no 3 warnings first like with everything
else. The only way to be safe would be to not let anyone pick anything
up in person under any circumstances, even if they lived next door.
They could pay by paypal and they would be paying the delivery charge as
well because it was on a BIN immediate payment and the auction was
delivery
only, so you would just ship it.
I can't see where you are getting confused, if they pay by paypal, you
bank
the money and send it shipped. This is no offer for collection.
They would just deduct the postal charge from the total they sent. If
they were picking it up in person they would expect that to be free.
If the seller 'locked' the Ebay invoice to prevent the buyer from amending
it they can't do this - easy to do and something I do myself.
If you sign in at paypal.com you can send any amount you want, and if
you put in the item number it will link it with ebay. I had someone
send me 1p that way a while ago to get out of a NPB. I nearly sent the
item, but spotted it in time.
Someone did this to me once aswell, but if you have immdiate payment on BIN
you should be ok
.
