I only sell low value by post (payment by paypal) and I am quite happy to let everyone know that I live in the UK - but further definition is irrelevant - as I don't want people wasting my time emailling me to see if they can call to collect (sometimes involving driving 20 miles!) to save £1 post and packing!

The default should be to leave the field blank unless you allow collection.

In theory perhaps. In practice, I'm a lot happier buying from a seller who's open about things like their location, and therefore more likely to buy from them than someone who hides such details, whatever their reasons.
