However, really excessive postage often indicates a seller who is not honest because they are avoiding eBay fees that impact on everyone. Personally I will not buy from such sellers.
As you know up front how much it will be you simply deduct that from
the total you are willing to pay and bid accordingly. For instance if
you want to spend £25 on this, just bid no more than £10 (£25 - £15 =
£10). That way you will never pay more than you intend regardless of
how much the shipping & packing costs are.
Oh yes, I have nothing against transfering a few quid onto a part of the transaction that does not attract Ebay fees, that's just sensinble and good business.
When it comes to sellers who charge £40 shipping a small item that
clearly costs under a quid to post and sell the item for 99p that's clearly taking the piss and wrong.
so its the amount of piss you dont like, its still taking the piss
In this case I don't feel the seller is taking the piss at all, just that funfly is having another blonde moment and doesn't want to consider anything other than what he/she inititally posted.not at all sometimes its good to here different opinion's you don't have to agree with them though? normally I would not bid buts its a rare'ish item and I have two choices bid and bit my tongue or walk away and if I do bid it will be probably be without leaving any feedback at all, I defiantly wont be leaving a neg
