Seller's PayPal id available in Checkout?

When using eBay's Checkout facility to pay for an item using PayPal, is
it possible, BEFORE making the payment, to check the PayPal address it
will go to?

As far as I can see, all they present you with beforehand is the
seller's eBay moniker. Once you've paid, you can ask to view & print an
online receipt, which contains the necessary info, as does the e-mailed
receipt from PayPal. I'm minded to raise this with PayPal, but thought
I'd mention it here first in case I missed something obvious.

Background: I paid for an item and it remained Pending for a few days.
The seller said it had gone to an old PayPal address and told me the
correct one, so I asked her to correct her details and send another
invoice. I expected to be able to check that this linked to the new
address before paying it, but found I couldn't. Needless to say, it was
still wrong!
