Can anyone recommend a tool that will log the bid history of all items
meeting certain criteria?
My principal interest is research into online bidding patterns, and I'd
like to be able to set a search category and then have the tool monitor
ebay activity and record the bids (or extract and record the bid
history when an item completes).
I have taken a look at a number of the auction/sniping tools, but they
don't seem to record bid history.
I'd like to make it clear that I have no interest in infringing anyones
privacy by recording who bid what, just the bids came in and how big
they were. A tool that didn't record IDs would be fine for me.
As far as I know there is no such tool.
I plan to add bidding history to the Munnin database, but I cannot give you a
specific date.
But what interest me is what kind of "research" are you planning?
Rainer
