There's an element of deception involved.

The picture is misleading with a scaled down brick wall, yes.
(if that isn't part of the design).

People automatically look at a picture rather than try to work
out what 97 mm means.

What else can "97mm x 67mm" mean if not the item's size?

Funny he didn't use inches, as well.

Because millimetres are a really obscure measurement unit, right?

...

In a word yes.

Most people immediately realise that 3 inches by 2 inches
is small.

Not so with "97mm x 67mm".

They might even assume it was a typo for 97cm x 67cm, given
the brick wall in the background.

....

Saying you can put the thing on your wall is clearly intended to
deceive, when only idiots would ever try and put a fridge magnet
on their wall

quote:
"STICK EM ON DOORS, WALLS, FRIDGES OR ..... UP YOUR RIVALS NOSES"

....

How can you stick a magnet on a wall or a door unless you have metal
doors or walls?

Where can you buy hooks to hang 97mm x 67m magnets on doors or
walls ? The hooks would be bigger than the magnets.

....

It's rubbish like him who give eBay a bad name and put people off
bidding on eBay at all.

A poor example, he's only charging £2.50 inc postage for them, after all.

....

Yes £2.50 for a 3" x 2" fridge magnet, you can't actually hang on
the wall, that he only paid around 20p for.

That's not really the point though, if it means buyers are pissed
off and really feel they've been tricked. As it means they might
not come back to eBay ever again.

He's costing everyone money, in terms of potential lost sales.

....

The OP, or his friend was just annoyed at being NARUd for his third
non-payment.

....

The vendor's got a string of neutrals and negs from people
who'll probably tell their all friends what a ripoff eBay
can be. Just so that scumbag can turn an extra £1.50

Yeah. Sure makes sense to me, too.
