Where is the trick??? Should I trust this seller?
The first thing to do is always to read their T&C's carefully. In
this case they don't appear to have heard of the Distance Selling
Regulations, secondly they don't appear to have read the Sale of
Goods Act.
"Disclaimer
We are not responsible for any merchandise that it does not receive
or that is not returned in accordance with the following terms:"
I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.
"We want you to be totally satisfied with every purchase you make
from Ecomputers. It is our aim to offer you value and quality at
outstandingly low prices. If, for any reason, you are not completely
happy with your purchase, simply return the item to us for exchange
or refund within 7 days. Postage is non-refundable. 20% restocking
fees may apply due to market inflation."
Obviously they have a new interpretation of "completely happy" and no
idea of DSR's.
"Package's return because of DOA (Dead on Arrival) must shipped back
as the condition we had sent and item(s) must shipped back with
delivery confirmation postmarked within 7 days after receipt as shown
on delivery receipt date. No refund or exchange will be issued after
this expiration date. "
"Any returned items that have any signs of abuse or intentional
damage will be refused and returned to sender at sender's cost."
"For DOA item, an exchange will be issue for same item. Refund only
will be given when exchange is not-applicable.
20% restocking fees will apply for all return except it is our
fault."
"Postage Credit
We are unable to reimburse for any postage.
In addition, customs, duties, taxes and any other applicable charges
are the sole responsibility of the customer and cannot be refund."
If what you buy arrives, is what you ordered and doesn't go wrong for
a year or so you shouldn't have a problem. If anything goes wrong
with the transaction do you feel confident dealing with someone who
has produced those T&C's?
