My L reg Fiesta van sold for a reasonable amount, on eBay, with no MOT and just under a month of tax left on it. It needed some work and I stated that in the description. IIRC it had about 167000 miles on it (obviously clocked by a previous owner as the digits were misaligned). I'm in Birmingham and, IIRC, it went to a dealer in Manchester.
The only problem was the amount eBay took. I suppose if I'd done the maths before I listed it I might have advertised it elsewhere but I was happy enough to move it on before I needed to SORN it and find somewhere off-road to keep it.

Why go further than your own front room? Especially when you can advertise it world-wide from there?
