It might be nothing to do with the printer. Printing labels en-mass usually
involves a database program, and sometimes involves merging data from a
database into a word processor file, or even a DTP application. If a printer
is printing lines from a set-up of that type it usually means the record
data or even the formatting isn't getting sent to the printer for some
reason. The usual cause of this in my experience is insufficient system
resources. The other thing is if you are printing from a very large database
of addresses that is regularly edited, apart from getting very large, files
that are constantly appended can become corrupted and fragmented. Using
"Save As" closing ones file and opening the new one can sometimes get rid of
the clinker and will of course defragment one's file to. In my experience
this can sometimes solve these type of problems. Particularly with anything
called MS-SomethingOrOther ;)
In my experience of printing problems. The weakest link apart from human
error (usually oneself) is either the application one is using, corrupted
files, insufficient system resources, or a combination of all three.
