Not in the slightest. Firstly what happens in county courts is
irrelevant as far as other cases are concerned. Decisions made at
that level do not set precedence so winning or losing has no effect
other than upon that single case.
Secondly it is in the Credit Card companies interest to force the
issue at some stage. As it is improbable that any individual making
a claim could afford to take a contested case to High Court level
such a hearing would probably be done by the CC companies seeking an
interpretation of the law (in much the same way as happened with the
overseas purchases case).
