I'm talking about uk.local.yorkshire.moderated. It seems no one is
posting there, or at least little seems to be getting past the
moderators. My posts get the heave on a regular basis. It seems to me
that ukly moderated has passed it's use by date.
I will be looking at the appropriate web page. But I wondered if
anyone could share their experience on this matter.

There is something very odd about the group. I subscribed to see what was
going on, and NIN tells me there are 587 posts, but refuses to download
them, while NTL was prepared to apparently do so I ended with nothing, and
the fascinating total of -800 or so unread. It's now showing zero, but I've
never seen a negative before!

Anyone know what is(not) going on there?

According to NIN earlier today, only 60 articles. (I have the output of
an NNTP LIST here.)

You can get negatives when a server is restarted, and that can confuse
some newsreader software.
