You are right. Perhaps they did see a different version, I haven't seen
any before. Interesting choices for the three sample music styles
though! Also "Who is the target audience" is an oddly vague question.
For my gigs the answer would be "human beings".
I don't understand how you could be more specific than this for most
gigs. "Students" I suppose could be an answer.

The important question, though, is can you see any reason why the police
would need or want that information for a jazz gig in a small bar? You
can understand why they might want to know if 5,000 people will be
descending on a place, and I suppose there is an argument they might
want to know more if it was a punk band although I feel very uneasy
about that, but this could apply to all venues.

And why should the performers have to give their names and addresses to
the police? Why? I won't be giving them my address, they can find out if
they want to, but I'm just a musician doing a job, I don't need to check
in with the police every frickin time. What crimes am I likey to commit
or cause? None.

Jon

I'm pretty sure I commit a crime every time I pick up a guitar. We
used to have to fill in forms for the PRS years ago. At that time
there were about 15 bands in Bristol all going out as the 'JJ Martin
band'. Nobody could really work out how they got so many gigs..:-)
