AFAIK no more than what's necessary for the standard Ubuntu build,
which is essentially what it is, plus several bundles of (open-source)
multimedia apps.

The downside is that it's a larger download (DVD .iso) and that it's a
CLI install - the standard flavours (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu etc) are
all bootable "live CD" images (great for testing the water) with GUI
installers.

I've found that I don't need half of the apps UbuntuStudio installs,
so my next rebuild will be vanilla Ubuntu and I'll download what I
need.
