You need to aim for a critical mass of around 4 or 5 guitars - after that
it gets easier. If you then cycle new stock through quickly enough, she'll
be less likely to notice.

Hmmm, you're preaching to the converted here of course.

4 or 5? At the moment I've "got two the same" so will probably get
away with a "different shaped" one...

The tele I have here seems to have gone unnoticed ...

Trouble is, since I only started playing again in earnest 6 months
ago, she's taking quite an active interest. I suppose it will wear off
once boredom with my limited repertoire sets in.. ;-)
