A friend needs to get better sound insulation in a room.
It's plasterboard and I assume some fibreglass wading in between.
Any ideas on a cheap, easy and quick method?
Doesn't need to be up to studio standard.
Used to be rumoured egg cartons stuck to the wall.

When you say "damping", are you trying to reduce the reflections within
the room, or trying to stop sound getting out?

Basically, the lower the frequency, the longer the waveform. Egg boxes
are useless for sound *proofing*, but they'll be a bit more successful
for reducing high frequency reflections and for creating diffusion.

I have a bit of a problem with these high frequency reflections in my front
room when listening to music. I can clearly hear an echo when I clap my
hands for example. Since I rent the house I can't make major modifications
but is there anything that you guys would recommend?
