Had a seroius practice go at a couple of chords last night, I can see
this is going to be a long and slow journey, my first impression is
its impossible, having said that Im typing on a keyboard here quite
fluently five years ago it would have taken me 5 minute to type this
paragraph, it will not beat me.
If you could get hold of a depth gauge and measure the average height of the
fret bead (in thousandths of an inch for this steam age mind), I could offer
a diagnosis.

Should I practice for a few weeks with just two of the easier chords
swapping between them?
One more thing, when a string is shown as muted during a strum surely
its not possible to miss that string with the plectrum, is it muted
with the fret hand?
Sorry to be pain with all these questions once I have a little basic
to get my teeth into I will go away for a week.
