Re: notWigan...

2 observations on the comments by James and Fivetrees

1. Both gentlemen are very modest about their playing ( a common trait
in UKMG...)
2. Interesting though to hear references of "autopliot". Whilst
accepting some of this will be commendable humility , I do feel that
there may be something in this. In most of my professional career I
have found that often the very best performances are "autopliot" ,
even though they may be preceded by shedloads of hard work.

Cheers

I've been copying more than watching and I think it's damn fine second
time around. As I wasn't playing , I was in the fortunate (
exclusive?) position of just being able to savour the great music.

Whilst a marathon session , the energy is undiminished

Agree with Justin - I thought Fivetrees was just on fire that evening

I blame the curry of the previous evening.

More seriously: thanks. The way I remember it: I was not at my best
health-wise, and fell back on what I call my "The Show Must Go On" mode. Was
fairly determined to put on a decent show... and was fortunately blessed
with a stonking band and a smoking rhythm section. I swear to dog: the
rhythm section makes or breaks me. With a good one, I can cruise. Otherwise,
I'd rather not be on stage. I got lucky.

and Incommunicado was great. So much for people playing "safe " stuff
:-)

Agreed. The degree to which folks of this parish were willing to step
outside comfort zones impressed me no end. (I confess I kinda didn't.)

Heh, I was just on auto pilot for that one, honest :)

Mandatory plug time. I have another batch of copying to do tomorrow
and will be emailing when I send out DVDs - I think there are still
another 7 or 8 people who have said they want copies who haven't yet
sent me "the necessary". Shut if you have sent me something and have
not yet heard

Ah. That'll be me, then. I've just spent the evening (a very pleasant one, I
might add) in the company of [5x5] and Paul_C, both of whom have the DVD...
and I don't. I'm clearly deprived. I shall get a cheque in the post.

clearly depraved? :)

Cheers
